  1. Can anyone help by taking a picture of the vacuum solenoid showing the pipes and numbers pls
  2. Ive rechecked fuses and all ok. But what i have found now is that car will not start. It has started on a couple occasions and cut out straight away. Only way i can get it to start is to unplug the pipe connectors on the vacuum solenoid. I have also unplugged the pipe going into throttle valve as i suspected it was throttle valve issue causing it to cut out. With the pipe off and as soon as i plug the connector back into the vacuum solenoid it shuts the valve causing it to cut out.. I am now very puzzled and wondering if its piped up wrong 🤔 Has anyone got a picture or diagram showing which vac pipe goes where? Tia Adrian
  3. Thank you so much. Ill have another look.
  4. Hi i am still trying to sort this fault out, car wouldn't start today and have since replaced the vacuum solenoid cont unit, once replaced it fired up straight away, been for a 20-30min test drive and all seemed ok, however light has come back on and now getting a wiring fault Has anyone got an engine wiring wiring diagram for an 05 fabia vrs please? Thanks Adrian
  5. Ive found fuse diagram on this website, no 24 is engine electronics
  6. Hi all, ive just bought a fabia vrs 05 plate. Ive not even driven it properly as its not insurance hasnt started till sunday, ive driven it down my road and back maybe 100 meters and eml came on and it cuts out when its idling. It chugs a bit and cuts out. Ive scanned to see what fault codes it has logged. Wondered if anyone else has had anything similar? The faults will clear and light goes off but will come back. Tia Adrian
  7. Managed to sort radio issue out thank. It was just something i knew id forget and come back after work to a dead car! I will probably change it to an aftermarket one sometime in the future. And yes the car isnt too shabby, 1 owner from new and fsh i have stacks of paperwork. The only thing thats been changed is the interior to the mk2 monte carlo seats front and rear and the wind deflectors. Adrian
  8. Thank you so much for that, ill take a look when i get home from work. I dint remember seeing those clips last time i looked so i reckon it is them thats missing
  9. Just that damn cubby compartment to sort now
  10. Yeah ive found it, didnt realise manual under a cover in glovebox. Glad prev owner has kept it all. Changed setting and its sorted. Many thanks
  11. Sorry i do mean ign off and key out ive tried locking it and it still stays on. Ill check to see if there is a setting thank you. Its a 2005 aswell
  12. Yeah id have thought it goes off with ignition but i have to physically press the button in the middle in to switch off... Cant see anything untoward on the cubby.
  13. Hi all, new owner of a mk1 fabia vrs, i have been a member of this group for a little while as i used to have a mkfl otcy vrs and a mk3 superb 220 sportline. So few issues with the fabia which i am not sure. The radio does not turn off when ignition is off. I have to press the middle button to manually turn it off. Its a standard radio. Surely this cant be right?? Also the cubby compartment to the right of the steering wheel under the dash doesnt stay shut. Is there a fix for this? Or is it a replacement. If so is standard fabia part same as the vrs? Tia Adrian
  14. Its a really tricky one with warranty these days. Dealers cant just replace parts.... If there is no fault showing on the guided fault finding (odis machine). Claim gets rejected and the dealer ends up having to pay for the labour/parts. Technicians have to follow the guided fault finding procedure unfortunately, due to such heavy fines by the manufacturer themselves. Intermittant faults are the worst, the only time we are allowed to replace a part without the guided fault finding saying so is if technical ask us to on a technical report where dealers liase with technical department at milton keynes. Glad your car got sorted in the end.
  15. Hi @silver1011 the spec im looking at is the 2.0 tsi dsg Xcellence first edition plus. Which is fully loaded pretty much. So equivalent kodiaq with similar spec is more than 24k
