Hi all,

 

My battery went flat the other day - I forgot I left my ignition on whilst changing the brake disks/pads.

 

Since I jump started it I have lost the auto door lock function.

 

Any indication to why this has happened as everything else is fine?

My experience is that low battery voltage can result in some functions stored in software can be lost or changed while the battery voltage is in the grey area. In my case, everything has come back to normal after temporarily removing the battery connection for a short time to force a restart from scratch.

You will have to reset the window lifts (see handbook) and you will have lost trip data, but that is all.

Should I try disconnecting the battery for a while them?

yeah disconnect the battery and leave it off for 30 mins might sort you out.
