Parts Needed

Featured Replies

So my poor Octavia that i bought and thought was going to have a few issue, appears to have more issues than i expected.  Can anyone help with what is now an extensive list of parts needed?  Can anyone recommend where i can get the following:

Front Brake Discs 312mm

Front Brake Pads

Rear Brake Discs

Rear Brake Pads

Rear Brake Backing Plate - Left

Rear Brake Backing Plate - Right

Rear Brake Calipers

Rear Wheel Bearing

Rear brake pipes

ABS pick ups

I just need some help in tracking down the parts.  I was told about places like AutoDoc but online reviews aren't great.

Thanks in Adance

Euro car parts can supply most if not all of your list of parts, and very often give good discounts.

Thanks, yeah just checking them at the moment.  most of the parts aren't too bad its just the calipers that are the pricey items

I've used https://www.skoda-parts.com/online-store.html (from Czech Republic)  with great effect.  My humble old but good condition 2001 Octavia 1.4 was nearly scrapped earlier this year when the drum backplates started failing due to rust. Could only source from the dealer in the UK at the time for a fortune and then would have needed new parts for everything else (shoes, levers, springs, fitting pack , auto adjuster, wheel cylinders, drums etc....). With labour this was going to push the bill towards £1k - ouch. Got fully assembled backplates including all bits for 67 euros each from skoda-parts, delivered quickly as well - problem sorted. Worth a look..

Perfect, thanks for the tip.  Yeah I've had the car in and the garage have quoted £1300 in total for the work (there was also some wiring that needed replacing )  so if i can get hold of the parts I can do most if not all of the work myself.

PS with skoda-parts use the search at the top to find the parts - it's not always obvious. EG many brake parts ure under front and rear axle
