Hi All

On Wednesday I am having a test drive of a 2017 Fabia Estate (need to lug around a few things). Was wondering if all you knowledgeable Skoda owners could put me right on what to keep in mind when I am down at the garage!! you know! bangs and squeaks etc. Appreciate your help advice. Terry

The wife has a 66 plate 1.2 TSI 6 speed manual SEL estate. No obvious issues with the car, just check everything is working OK. Is it with a Skoda dealer?

Hi Moley. Its a SE L.  Yeah, Skoda dealer Bury St Edmunds. Been having a look around the website, bloody brilliant!! Got a headache now!! Don't think I will go wrong here!!! Thanks for getting back to me.

I bought a 1.0TSI SE manual 5 speed  estate from the same dealer back in May and with similar mileage. No problems yet and really like the engine although I hadn't had any problem with the 1.2TSI Roomster I traded in. Good luck!

I might also mention that the test drive route was I felt rather 'kind' to the car and it might be good to insist on going a bit further and onto some more minor routes to check out suspension noises etc!

Hi Harnser. Thanks for getting back to me.  Nice idea about test drive, out here they are all country roads, well most of them but thanks for the idea!!

Hi Terry, actually the route was A14 followed by more minor roads BUT these were still of better quality than most of my those around my area and, by the way, I'm in Norfolk too!

Forgot  to say that they are shipping the car from Bury St Edmunds to Fakenham for test drive!! Will see how it goes!! Cheers
