Front Anti Roll Bar Replacement OCT Vrs MK2

Featured Replies

Hello

I am after a little bit of advice, I am going to change the front anti roll bar bushes, due to a rattle  from the front of the car, and have eliminated everything else. I only get this rattle on uneven road at slow speed. I have found out that the bushes can not be replaced so it is a new bar. I know the sub frame needs to come out, so will be doing the bottom engine mount as well.

I just wanted to know if anyone has done this job of replacing the bar, and if anything gets in the way or needs to be removed. I do have a Haynes but wanted to see if you really have to remove the steering joint.

Cheers

I'm fairly sure replacement bushes are available aftermarket.  On the factory bar you have to drill out a couple of rivets to put in the new bushes.

If you are going to that trouble then I'd look at how much more to do an uprated bar.
