Search for high resistance connections, the one under the plastic cover at the front of the seat slider rail or in my case it was finally resolved by feeling underneath like a blind man for the second connector that i knew nothing about and giving it a wiggle.

A fault that has regularly plagued this car for 10 years looking at the service history and has made garages a fortune putting the light out but not resolving the problem including ripping the PO off for replacing the airbag which was not done.

So you think that its connected to the airbag in the Seat on driverside?

I know that they both are.

Just be aware guys I had similar issue tho it was passenger side,. got the usual advice check under passenger seat wiggle connectors under carpet cut out to make sure they're seated properly,so did all that and nothing.. it's great advice if that's the problem and it works,.but it didn't for me,.my issue was the wiring from the side bulkhead coming into the passenger door, I unclipped the rubber bellows/trunking and give the wiring a good eyeball,.low and behold one wire was fraid and seperated,.so joined it back together and deleted the fault..job done.. Worth giving it a look if all else fails. Good Luck.

Are there any airbag components in the door?

Well that's what I discovered,. maybe for side impact not sure!?

Hi,

I had the same problem, and discovered that the brown and yellow wire were broken. I have connected then back together but the issue still persists. Do I need to clear the code? I was expecting to the airbag light to disappear after the connection was put back together.

Cheers
