Just given my new Fabia it's first wash and found these weird marks, they don't come off. Tried autoglym and a very mild meguirs compound. I've sent pics to dealer, any idea what they are as I've never seen this before.

Hard to tell from the photos, but it might be glue reside for the 'SKODA' and 'FABIA' letters. Maybe the tailgate slipped when they were being attached, or they've been redone --- poorly.

 

Looks like it's make-a-fuss time. If you're not going to reject the vehicle, I'd expect a complete tailgate respray at the bodyshop. Good luck!

Now the sun's gone down they've gone! But they don't look like reflections from the badges. I don't think tailgate has had paintwork as there was sticky residue around all the badges, which I presume was from transport protection film. I am wondering if it's weird reflections from badges or paint issue only seen in sunshine.

Could be reflections. Shine a torch on the badges and see if the anomalies move with the touch.

Could be bird s£&t etching, mine had three marks on it, luckily the detailer was able to get them out!

I'm an idiot, it was just reflections off the badges. Went out with a torch and they move about, so paints all good. Sorry for my meaningless post, remove if admin like!
