The very first car I bought and paid for , out of my apprentice wages. Never missed a beat in 180000 miles. Oil consumption Zero from service to service and maintained by me. 

 

Thanks for the introduction VW, to a very  reliable low cost motoring car,on a tight budget. Oh ! and good fun.

Just proves that millions of customers once thought of as a practical car since launch in the 1930's tastes and expectations have moved on. Sadly more recent Mexican offerings have been all about style and not the original cheap, reliable people's car is was designed to be for the masses.:nod:
