Anybody Used the Audi VW Repair Specialist Bothwell?

Featured Replies

As per the title.

Kind of getting sick of getting the run around* by the two Skoda dealers I normally use, so was thinking of giving these guys a go;

Audi VW Repair Specialist

Or if you could recommend a VAG indy around the Glasgow area.

Many thanks,

Fin

* tried phoning one of the dealerships several times this morning but the phone just rang out on each occasion.  When I eventually did get through, was told Servicing closes at 1230 on a Saturday, so ring back first thing Monday morning!  Even when I do get through it can be weeks before they can provide me with a booking.

Maybe working a full day Saturday and Sunday might help reduce the backlog and stop customers going elsewhere?

Doesn't ring a bell, and the opposite side of Glasgow to my mum's. Maybe try " A for Audi"?

@Sittingbull  might respond, he has someone he trusts near Hamilton.

I haven't used this garage personally so can't vouch for them either way, I do know they've been on the go for a long while now though.

We've been using Ingram Skoda down in Ayr is using a main Skoda dealer, so far so good with them.

Locally we use a lad in Lesmahagow, father and son business, he does most stuff for us.

Closer to Glasgow I know that many in a car club use Alan Fingland at FNK Autoworks, based I believe in East Kilbride. Hope this helps.

Have you used them, or know anyone who has?  Noticed their location, typical, they would have been my 'go to' when I lived in the Drum.

Local Skoda dealership Service desk was busy and they would phone me back, that was over an hour ago.  Same when I tried to book it in the last time.  I ended up booking it in whilst passing.  Not good.

I have, and just wouldn't suggest anyone I'd not used or at least knew by reputation.

Me "I'd like to book in a Skoda Octavia 1.9 Elegance for an oil service and cambelt change."

Them "OK, that's going to be £X for the service, £Y for the cambelt and a new water pump. Is 9AM tomorrow OK?"

I've just filled out their online query form, so hopefully should hear back from them soon.

Just phoned my local dealer again, but Service Desk staff busy and will ring me back when they can.

Still waiting after 2 hours........

It's been a wee while since I had a McMonagles fish supper!

Many thanks,

Fin

In my experience they are no worse than the one a bit further north,  yet most people who use them sing their praises.

This has  been far and away the worst ownership and dealership experience of any vehicle I've owned in (depressingly) 31 years.

And I've owned FIAT's and Rovers!

Gordon is a Moron moving on might have helped a little.
