Replacing blower fan mk3 2015 Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm a newbie so apologies if this should be posted elsewhere. So does anyone know how to replace blower fan on mk3 Fabia, is it a case of removing whole dash ? Also what size is fuse cos some garage guys  removed it..but continuity etc checked out

If you have manual switch (not climate control), it is worth checking if fan operates on maximum speed.  The lower speeds use a resistor unit which sometimes fails.  If so blower is ok and just resistor needs doing

Had this on our Roomster (same front as mk2 fabia), £4 and about 15 mins was all it took following a You-tube video via glovebox and passenger airbag slot.

No idea how difficult if blower fan needs doing.

Tried it doesn't operate on any speed.  Mu husband checked continuity so says doesn't think it's resistor unit... Skoda quoting £295  and that's not using genuine parts. £395 with genuine parts
