Decals or not...?

Featured Replies

I’m undecided as to whether to keep the Motorsport decals on my VRS... any thoughts...?🤔

Original owner had them fitted at the time of delivery as a dealer fit option for £150 in 2007...!😳

Mrs M hates them, I’m undecided...

A possible way of deciding is to check with your insurer how much having such a decal will effect your premium.

It's not something people think about, but anything fitted over standard trim at the factory or dealer fit may not be covered by your insurer, or even increase your premium. I've always notified mine of the permanent optional extras I selected. I do not know how much that affects my premium, but it should ensure they are replaced post incident, or taken into account at payout.

2019 - 2007 = 12 years yes? Well, that means that you'll be left with ghost images of the decals if you take them off now.

Good idea, boy racer stickers will save the insurers a lot of money if ever they have to pay out the value of the vehicle :D

Mrs M May prefer the ghosting...😂

Do you think they would reimburse me the full £150 cost if I needed to make a claim...?😳

I like them as they're quite unique as I've never seen another VRS with them and they're not screaming in your face either ....

I’m with you Labman, suitably subtle...😉

I quite like them, very unique! I reckon leave them on there :)

I reckon the original dealer had to soak them in champagne prior to fitting, in order to justify the price...😂

I think your asking to get pulled over by the police.

Not because of the stickers, but because your car is on plates claiming to be 12 years old and looks like new.

Obviously a clone, and if not and it turns out to be in exceptionally tidy and shiny condition you might get away with just being charged with wasting police time for making it look like a clone … 😎

I'd keep them, look good IMO.

I’d just cleaned it, honest...😂

It was also a one owner car until I purchased it last month...

It also now has a very shiny air con condenser...!

I’ve bought a can of PlastiDip and want to spray the chrome grill surround black but struggling to remove the grill...

Any hints?
