A few days ago I noticed that the Columbus globe wasn't turning white and also the lane guidance etc had stopped working.

Thinking that it was SWMBO who had somehow disabled the latter, I re-enabled and asked her if she'd also noticed the red globe. Yes, but she'd forgotten to tell me!

 

Anyway it seems that these are problems others have faced before so I checked the SIM (in a working phone), re-did the Skoda Connect and the white globe appeared together with what I thought was partial RTTI.

Removing the SIM actually removed the 'problem' roads though so I wondered if I was imagining things. Fast forward to today and after inputting some addresses for the sat nav, a message box flicks up that 'Online Services are not available'. There is still 'some' traffic info though which seems to be more then I'd expect from TMC.

 

Any ideas what I might not have done after the initial reset episode and how to resume normal service?

 

just picked up a brand new L&K yesterday (Facelift), was able to set up Skoda connect in car and on phone, but that's as far as it got ......now red globe and pressing skoda connect button just flags up error, any help welcome.

Making the new car feeling a little underwhelming.

Also it looks like lane guidance hasn't been activated, so its back to the garage with that problem!!

Isn't Lane Guidance something that you have to tick?

Have you actually got a SIM in the car?

 

There's a bit of an update with mine though.

SWMBO said that the car asked her for some sort of PIN number this morning (which she wouldn't have known) but it carried on after she'd pressed the back button. I tried it and no requests for a PIN and more importantly, nothing to say that 'Online Services' weren't available.

Still not too sure that full RTTI is showing though.

Not got an option to select it.

Yes the car came with a vodafone sim.

And yes i entered a S PIN

Just checked mine and it's available on the button above the phone switch on the RHS of the steering wheel.
