Mk2 inside door courtesy lights not working

Featured Replies

My drivers side inside door light wont work, I've swapped the bulb with the working passenger side and still nothing. Has anyone got any ideas?

Does the "door open" warning display on the dash panel? If not, then the sensor (microswitch) in the lock is faulty.

Have you had a door lock changed recently? I did and they had to re-code the new lock to make said light work.

As far as I'm aware the door locks have never been changed, and the door open light comes on fine, i think my next step is to check with a multimeter. I didnt even notice until someone pointed it out to me and now it irritates me everytime that door is open
