SKODA RAPID SE TSI S-A 2013

Featured Replies

Hi there guys I am about to start taxi and thinking to buy car KODA RAPID SE TSI S-A 2013 1.4 automatic for taxi.

Need advice whether its a good pick or not.

Welcome to the forum.

Maybe a Mod can move this to the Rapid section.

Others might comment on the engines,

but as to the DSG check and see if Service Campaign '34H5' was needed and carried out.

?

How many miles has the car done and is there a full service record, any warranty work done etc?

Thanks for the reply the car has full service history and it’s only done 47000 mileage on the clock . Was bought from dealer .

As per 34H5 I don’t understand what it means .

Is it a Skoda Approved Used car with a 12 month warranty?

Does using it as a Taxi void that warranty?

'34H5' is a software update required on some 7 speed dry clutch DSG's from 2013-2015 so check in the spare tyre well and see if a sticker beside the build sticker showing done,

or ask at a Skoda Main Dealers.  It was started in 2017.

Have the spark plugs been changed at a service, and the brake fluid in 2016/2017 or since?

Just been to seller and checked the car .Found sticker of 34hs by the spare tyre .

The only issue I had was while accelerating in parking mode it wouldn’t go above 40 hence I booked another viewing in day time to check on motorway .

Thanks for your reply .

@Shahz

You have to explain please.  What is Parking Mode?   There 'P' as in Park,  the car does not move.

What were you in when it would not go above 40 and was that 40MPH?

Were you in D, or S or using it in manual?

It’s automatic car in parking mode I was in during accelerating and the needle wouldn’t go above 40 .

It is an Automatic, but the S-A in your title stands for Semi Automatic.

So a 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG.  (DQ200)

In 'P' the car should be parked and the front wheels are locked.

Sorry, but not sure what you are doing or did.

I was accelerating while it was parked to check engine noise .

So not above 4,000 RPM.

Thats correct, it should not rev higher in P.

Why would you want to rev it when stationary above that to hear the noise unless you want to wreck an engine, hence the rev limiter. .
