Service Plans for all Skodas between 1-10 yo, Black Friday Discount

Featured Replies

Just came across this on the Skoda website, what do others think?

https://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/black-friday-offer

* My own Karoq isn't quite a year old yet so just realised I won't qualify for the discount

Edit 2

Just checked the SUK website and after putting in my reg number it tells me I can get:- This ŠKODA Service Plan provides cover for the first 2 consecutive services, (limited to 1x oil service & 1x oil & inspection service) in line with ŠKODA manufacturer's recommended service schedule.

£342 one off payment or £19 per month over 18 months

Unreal they can not get the names right by what they change them to in the UK with the recommended service schedule.

They used to be called a Minor / Inspection Service & Major Service.

Last year and until recently they listed a Oil Service, and Interim Service & a Major Service.

Now we are back to a Oil Service & Inspection Service.      Pity the stuff not included, Brake Fluid Change, DSG, Haldex, AC Service etc.

It is an Interim & Major Service they are saying.   Only Issue is if at the Major the Tech decides no Air Filter or Fuel Filter / Spark Plugs needs changed.

This confirms that SUK are just trying to confuse us all to some extent with so many variations in a shortish period of time.

e.g.

Perhaps some stealers don't apply the Skoda UK pricing for services, * see Breezy's reply to my last post on page 2

It's not actually a bad offer.

Ignore the minor and major element of the deal, take the total amount and half it and you're basically looking at £171 per service, a minimum saving of £8.

However, given that the car has to be at least one year old, then your second discounted service (the cars third service) will likely include the extra parts that would ordinarily equate to the £289 service, making the saving more appealing i.e. an average of £63 saving per service

I'll probably sign up, but that's only because I know it'll cover me for an actual major service where they'll replace all the filters and spark plugs.

Ridiculous.....I actually mentioned the price shown on the net as £179 and was told that was for cars over one year old and less than 10 but the price of the oil service was £199 and that is what they charged. They pride themselves on offering great value service and 5 star treatment. I shall be looking elsewhere next year.

Where will you get the service done?

I tend to use Pulman Skoda in Durham, luckily I work up there so me and the wife can swap cars for the day.

If not it would be Des Winks in Scarborough. I'm not DM Keith in York's biggest fan which is a shame as they're only around the corner from my wife's place of work.
