Collected my MK3 a couple days ago. The only problem it has is the parking sensors/park pilot. 1/5 times it works fine, sometimes it's just a loud beep as if I was too close to a wall for example but no visual on the screen just stays on radio. Sometimes it doesn't work at all no visual no sound. In setting it says parking not available. 

 

Has anyone seen this before?

Have you got a scan tool you can see if any errors are occurring?  Not sure how integrated the infotainment system is with the park pilot but you could try a system reset?

Ill give it a scan later on tonight, I'm thinking it's a wiring issue but as you said only a scan will tell

I'm getting 1079060 open/short ground. Any ideas?

Look up where the grounds are work your way through them?

Sorry that's the best I can come up with.
