took it to skoda bolton where they mest about for an hour burnt out my switch on drivers and said it was a cig burn it appened when wife was driving and burnt her coat complained to skoda uk they should have got back to me today,and they wanted £204 to strip it even though 3 techs said i had fag ash in car i will not allow smoking in my car and wife has never smoked.my garage said it was element burnt out without even stripping it for £40.can i get skoda uk to pay for seat,switch, coat, even though i didnt buy it from them and not warranted with them

Probably quicker and cheaper to go to a breakers yard, if you can’t get a replacement cover cheaply. 

There was a Skoda Service Campaign on Mk2 Fabia heated seats.

It should have been a Full DVSA Recall as a Safety Critical Issue.  Maybe Skoda never reported it as such to the DVSA.

Eventually spoke to skoda today i told them about what my garage said and they first wanted to strip again at 204quid i said ring my garage which they are passing my garages number on to skoda bolton and then skoda uk are contacting me on tuesday  so see what happens  thanks for replaying people

after emailing the ceo of skoda i am taking it warrington half price with courtesy  car and full refund if factory fault
