1.0 petrol automatic - longevity?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. I currently have a 1.0 SE Technology automatic estate, on a lease through work. The lease is up in a few months, and because of reduced travel due to Covid, I won't qualify for another lease car. So, I'm wondering whether to buy the car at the end of the lease, or hand it back and look for something else. Very happy with the car itself, my only concern is whether or not I'm likely to run into any reliability issues as age and mileage increase. Does anyone have experience/opinions re. this model/engine combination? It will have about 25K miles at the end of the lease, and I'll probably do around 10-12K a year going forward.

Any advice appreciated, cheers

If you look after it, keep it clean and tidy, plus serviced as it says then there's no reason for you not to have many years of fault free driving.

Look after it, it'll return the compliment.
