Android usability with Bolero/Amundsen....

Featured Replies

Hi All - havent quite bought the Ocativia yet so looking for advice. I'm looking at a 67 plate car that doesnt have the Nav option. How usable is the connection with an Android phone in general and, specifically, for nav using the Info system display ?

Thanks

It’s fab. I use CarPlay and I have the MIB2.5 Columbus for reference and the Skoda UI is actually very good and user friendly but I default to CarPlay. AA and CarPlay give full voice control with assistant/Siri, choice of maps, music streaming, full call and text support etc etc. Couldn’t recommend it enough. The only minor downside for those that care is the info for nav or media isn’t shown on the Maxidot if AA or CarPlay is in use.

I use Android Auto with a MIB2.5 Amundsen and I'd second Sasha's comments, works perfectly for me and I tend to plug my phone in for all but the shortest journeys.

Super handy way charging the phone too ;)

Thanks both, helps to make a decision !

Concur. Built-in nav becomes obsolete once you have Android Auto, even more so if you live or work in a traffic zone.
