Featured Replies

Hello all, after selling my mk1 fabia vrs and a short break I'm back in a skoda.

Mk3 2014 octavia 1.6d this time around.

Lovely car drives well and looks great.

Having a couple of software issues.

Bluetooth doesn't always work and drive mode button never works.

Was kindly sent 490 and extracted with winrar to a fat32 usb but system says no software found .

Driving home the bluetooth worked..stopped and fueled but didn't work after.

My head unit..

Device part no. 5e0035864A

Hardware. 040

Software. 0421

Many thanks in advance.

Have just managed to update to 0490 thanks to pab567

But problem seems still in.

I expect the bluetooth failure may be hardware rather than software, there have been a few reports of it failing on MIB1 headunits.

As for the drive mode button, it may just need a new button or the existing one checking/cleaning.

If you've not had it long, I'd be tempted to contact the dealer who sold it to you :)

Bluetooth has worked today, seems an intimitant fault but mode never works, button goes orange when pressed then out again with no menu.
