Hi 

I have a problem with my octavia 1.8 turbo . The problem is it will start then after a few seconds it will die but turn the key off straight away and it will start and die the same . I have tried locking the doors and opening them again but the problem is still there . If any one could help I would much appreciate it 

Sounds like the immobiliser is shutting it down. May be a problem with the transponder in the key, in which case your spare key should work. Issue might be also be the immobiliser reader at the igintion switch, or wiring from there to the instrument cluster.

 

Search this forum for "immobiliser".  The problem has come up previously.
