British Built New Cars in Australia

Featured Replies

More for the Australian members than anyone else. Which car manufacturers (if any) routinely send numbers of new build (unregistered) cars from the UK to Australia. I think the UK Trade and Industry Secretary may be lying (if by omission) or incompetent.

According to the SMMT there are 2.1% of UK manufactured cars exported from the UK going to Australia.

At a guess JLR & MINI might be responsible for a fair number of the vehicles making up that 2.1%.

Australia Import a lot of cars from countries now that they have no manufacturers left in Australia.

^^^  OT but a warning to one and all and especially any overseas visitors to Scotland.

Stracathro Services next to the eatery in the pic above might be selling the most expensive petrol or diesel in Scotland and as for eating in the place,

Na nay never, na nay never no more.

Thanks, George

From a post back in 2015 at the time of a fuel shortage.

The Fuel Station and Eatery at the side of the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen route and are at the gate of Stracathro Hospital and before lockdown lots of people went to the Hospital Cafe / Canteen where the public can buy food / meals and drinks at a fair price and the staff get the subsidised price.

Good grub.

The Transport Place in the picture was featured in a TV Drama at some point and the 'All Day / Truckers Breakfast' looked amazing.

Goes to show the camera can lie.

and 53.5% to the EU. I was right that she's lying by omission.
