I was cruising at around 60mph today and the EPC light came on. No loss of power or loss of revs I could discern, everything felt absolutely fine. When I had the opportunity I pulled up and applied the IT approach (turned it off and back on again) and no more light and I went on my way for another 50 mile without issue.

 

Has anyone any idea why it might have come on, can I expect impending trouble? I have an extended warranty so I may call my dealer on Monday and see what they say.

Have the fault codes read by something decent like VCDS or a Snap -On multi-marque diagnostic tester.

 

You might as well ring a premium rate fortune teller as asking on a forum with no other details to go on.

Yeah, I suspected as much. Just thought I'd check in case there was any common known issues.
