fast charging options

Featured Replies

Morning guys, I'm just curious as i use the car quite a lot doing deliveries in my spare time, I find sometimes the 12v cigarette lighter can't charge my phone quick enough, I vaguely remember buying a mk4 mondeo once upon a time that had an aftermarket charging port fitted in place oif the factory 12v outlet, which ion turn allowed fast charging, I'm wondering if this is an option for my mk1 octavia. Cheers

In fairness I was looking for a bit of genuine advice from anyone who may have done this but never mind.

I'm obviously aware it's an aftermarket part, but like I mentioned i'd seen one in a mk4 mondeo hard wired, unsure as to whether or not this can be done in a mk1..

You’ll want a usb charger that can output 5A or have a dual one that can do 2.4A each. Make sure you phone supports quick charge 3. There’s quite a few one Amazon. Anything from Anker or Aukey is great!
