Hello everyone the gearbox is getting tired on my mk1 1.8t vrs and ive been looking for a  replacement 02j eha but cant get any close to me i gan get an 02j evs from a1.8t gti mk4 golf has anyone fitted these that could give me some feedback as to how the gear ratios was is there much difference thanks all 

there is a list somewhere in MK1 Octy forum with all the different ratios and box codes(try a search), had a Golf box on mine can't remember the code though, your not going to really have any sort of notable difference.

5-speed 02J (EHA) gearbox from a Skoda Octavia RS (AUQ engine):

• 1st - 3.300
• 2nd - 1.944
• 3rd - 1.308
• 4th - 1.034
• 5th - 0.838
• Final drive 1st-5th - 3.647

So in 5th gear @ 6000rpm you'd see 146mph.
