Scala 2021-2022 models SFD protected?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone has these models and can confirm if they are protected?

Thanks,

Can anyone inform me what SFD is and why the models need protecting?

Thanks, I did google SFD but not SFD protection. Probably will not concern me though.

I could write on my 2021 Scala (new steering wheel), for some of the options in OBD Eleven

Thats great news ' also disable or memorise start/stop setting and enable memory last setting for lane assist? Thanks :) ps when did you order and received?

Hi, I was able to modify start/stop settings and gauge test mode, but unfortunately (fortunately?) i don't have lane assist (not standard in Chile). I don't know about waiting times in Britain, but i was able to buy mine on the same day (someone cancelled their order), it's an 1.5 TSI Style, glass roof,18" wheels, bolero.

As far as I know, orders either for Scala or Kamiq in Chile are around 2 months delivery time for non-custom trims.

Regards

How did you disable stop start because I cant do it in a 21 Kamiq  and staging doesnt work either.

Hi, I simply used, OBD eleven apps. However, i tried to activate fog lamps for flash to pass, but it failed to write.

Well Im well into coding with OBDEleven and nothing works to do that with mine   and its well known that dial staging with  the MK2 aid doesnt work either

Did you enter the security code for the module you were trying to code the fogs and has car actually got them

I used de built in apps available for Scala in the OBD Eleven app. I did not used long coding, so i didn't use any security code.

And i am positive the gauges sweep when i turn on the ignition, i just checked. But i couldn't change anything else.

No Idea, maybe you got some security measure flashed in Australia?

Almost all VW and Skoda cars from late 2020 have crippled access to some modules and require you to release the bonnet to get the rest to work   There are no Kamiq Apps in OBDELeven for S/S or staging on my phone I used coding for the staging and it accepts it but it doesnt work and also doesnt work in Tiguan MK 2 AIDS

OBD Eleven now has the unlock facility for all modules. It allows optional items to be switched on and off etc. I've had the wife's Scala connected and there is a lot that can be changed. I have the OBD Eleven Mk 2 with Pro package. It's worth every penny and much better than the competition!

Hi

Before I purchase a OBD eleven next gen

Very simple can you definitely turn off stop start and lane assist I have a late 2019 Scala SEL

Before we start guessing, please see the actual OBD Eleven web page. I would love to nip out and check the wife's car, however with the (allegedly) imminent delivery of her new Scala and my Octy, I'm saving the in app' credits for the two new cars!

I had a generic units and then, Carista previously and I'm more than happy with my purchase of OBD Eleven Mk2 and Pro subscription and I'm keeping the Carista for use on my BMW Mini!

Its a shame people dont post in the correct threads    This one is for 2021/22 Scala models and he is asking about a 2019 model which has vastly different access than later models

I CANT DISABLE S/S in my wifes MAY 15 2021 built Kamiq  which is a Scala in a different coat. Have tried everything  and only way is to buy the cheat cable from AliExpress and as the trim is very tight and seems a bit fragile I have been reluctant to pull it apart to fit the cable

Also if you have bought a PRO why are you worried about credits      I have about 600 from getting a bank  by watching ads each day for several months but have used hardly any as easier and better to do coding

I've only just purchased the Pro, so not sure about how many credits it takes for each adjustment! I'll get on to watching adverts!

It tells you on each app in the program on your phone how many each use. They also cost the same to reverse .  is a waste using them as you dont really know what an App changes whereas you can see what you have codded and reverse it reasonably easily

Suggest you have a quick read around the different forum areas, through threads people have created asking for help after OBDeleven (and other) apps have gone tits up.  Then make your decision about whether you want to go the app route, or learn how to code.  By learning how to code, more people can help should something go wrong as we can ask exactly what you did and what has changed.  The apps are not so transparent.

There looks to be a thread on a problem app change in the Superb MK3 forum just now in fact (Dome Lights).

I'll have a look and try it out in our current Scala. My wife's new car, Scala Monte Carlo, is now scheduled for build week 9 and my Octy vRS is week 6. Not so long now!

Never forget to backup. When using long coding take a pic of the exact orig codes so yo u can manually revert back if needed and could not with the backup.
