First impressions

Featured Replies

,Had the car for three weeks now, on the drive home the eml came on which was a bit disappointing, got home and had a good look over it rear brake pads  and discs required, read the code with just a basic code reader which pointed to dpf sensor. First car I have had with electric hand brake and not having the diagnostic gear to wind the piston back had to remove the electric motor and manually do it ,all straight forward. Looking at the next problem I could see scorch marks and soot stains around the area where the dpf sensors are wrapped in a pouch ,further investigation revealed the plastic pipe at the bottom of the sensor was broken off and this was the cause of the light coming on. No problem I thought two screws holding the sensor and rubber pipe pushes on, ordered the sensor and then found out it has to be coded to the car, had to book the car into a garage (which is a first for me) to fit the sensor and code it to the car. I have now ordered the vcds equipment hopefully to keep me away from the Skoda garages . Gave the car a proper run down to Hampshire about 330 miles each way display in the car on the way down was reading about 62 mpg but checked it  by refilling it and it worked out at 58 mpg, on the return journey display was reading 66mpg and checked again when I got home and the figure was bang on 60mpg. To say i am impressed would be massive understatement. Suburb 2.0 estate 2016 super comfortable quiet huge amount of room ( could hold a 21st birthday party inside).

10% optimistic on the consumption. That's not unusual, although the available range mode is usually pretty accurate.
