First cabin filter fitted today!

Featured Replies

Following advice on this forum I changed the cabin filter. I used a Bosch r2543 which fitted perfectly (activated carbon). Cost under £11 delivered and 5 minute job. I have a 2016 1.4tsi.

Nice one. It's so satisfying doing your own bit of maintenance, and obviously, a lot cheaper. Well done!

Was the old filter pretty grubby? When was it last changed, do you know?

The car is 2016 and the filter was dated 2018 so looks to have been changed at 2 years. Fair amount of large debris up to about 5mm. Hard to tell on the fine particulates but did feel heavy

I did mine recently and I kind of wish I'd gone for the all singing and dancing fancy one, but I wasn't sure of the part number of the fancy Bosch one.
