Fixed rear washer pipe...now boot button wont work!

Featured Replies

So, I have just managed to get some time to fix my rear washer pipe, I've got an estate so it wasn't quite the 20 min job I'd been lead to believe.

Washer pipe was indeed partially disconnected when I got to it and it was clear that it had leaked over the wiring (I hadn't been using it but my wife borrowed the car the other day and used the rear wash so there was fresh water in the boot), why on earth Skoda thought it a good idea to put two main loom plugs for the boot electrics bundled in with the water pipe is beyond me!

Pipe is fixed and secured, and whilst I was in there I dried up any dampness with microfibre cloths and then rebound bits of the loom where the factory webbing tape was sodden and coming away.

I unplugged and checked the plugs whilst I was at it, then plugged it all back in, tested the washer, all working just fine.....Only issue is that by boot release button is now not working.....grrrrrrrrrrr!

Other than unplugging the connectors I haven't disturbed anything else. It still works from the keyfob, just not the button itself. All other lights and electrics are working (other than the interior boot lights but they have never worked!).

Any ideas?
