Trim and C pillar remove guide

Featured Replies

Hallo I need to replace the sun shade of the panoramic roof, I already have a guide to work on the roof so I am covered there, but I fear the most difficult part is getting to it. As far as I know I need to lower the back portion of the roof trim, thus I need to remove the 2 C pillars, the center lock and the center seat belt. Any guide helping me out there?

Hey Simone. There's a PDF on here somewhere containing detailed instructions for removing the whole roof lining, I'll see if I can attach it since I couldn't find it via search just now. I recommend you take out the whole thing and not just the back portion, as it's not very flexible and you may end up just creasing it. It's pretty easy if you take your time ...

Hello Simone,

Take a look in the Yeti gallery for photo's of my Yeti with the headliner removed.
You can see details of the C pillars and more.
It took me about 2 hours (alone) to remove all the trimmings and headliner.
I work in a very tight garage and could not open my doors so the only way in and out

off the car was through the trunk :-{
Removing the headliner and trimmings is not that difficult, it just takes some time to remove the trimmings the fist time if you don't

know how they are attached to the car.
The headliner removal out off the car is a two person job to make sure not to twist it.
Currently my headliner is still out off the car and is going back into the car coming Saturday.
I can make some detailed pictures tomorrow of the sunshade and the center seatbelt if you want.
I will post it in the Yeti gallery.

Regards,

Lico

Pictures are now in the Yeti gallery!
