Moisture in the top of the engine

Featured Replies

Me again,

It seems that moisture build up in the 2.0 8V MPI engine is a common problem (which I have had since I've owned the car).

I've never lost any coolant, the exhaust has never smoked etc. So I know it's not head gasket related (been there, done that on other cars).

Is there anything I can do to reduce it?

Is there a PCV on this engine?

It's not really affecting anything, apart from ticking me off, but any hints would be nice 🙂

Do not do lots of short journeys from cold starts so where the engine oil is not getting up to the correct and efficient operating temp is something that applies with just about all engines.  You need to get the engine and oil up to temp regularly.  & do oil and filter changes according to how the car is used.

As to anything particular for your engine i have no idea sorry.

That's the unfortunate thing, I have to do plenty of short journeys in this car.

I do stay on top of oil changes, but it's the 1st car I've had that does this.

Hey, ho
