Spurious alarm issue

Featured Replies

I own a 2018 Karoq 1.5TSI that has proven utterly reliable in the almost four years I have owned it until recently. On three occasions on Tues night, the alarm went off for no apparent reason. I tried disabling the interior sensor but made no difference.

Yesterday I fully charged the battery and drove the car for about 40-50 miles. I came home, parked up and again, the alarm went off.

By coincidence the car is booked in with my local dealer (Hendy Skoda, Salisbury) for an ot and annual service in a fortnights time.

They can't check the vehicle before then and have said the  charge will be £132 per hour just to plug it in and diagnose the fault.

Has anyone else had this same issue and how or what is generally the problem?

I'd make sure you haven't got a spider living in there near the ultrasonic sensors. had it in an octavia once. re-homed the spider, all good.
