The volume on the reversing sensors started to change up and down when reversing. I'm not talking about the tone and frequency change the closer you get to an object. If I'm in reverse gear and close to an object and not moving, the volume goes up and down but the frequency/tone doesn't change.

 

Anybody seen this before or have any solutions. Car is a 1.5TSi manual in Style spec

So, my Mk3 does this or I think something similar. If the audible alert for the sensors has been going for a while, the volume reduces. I think it then increases if the frequency changes. Is that what you’re experiencing?

No, the audible alert wasn't on too long. I stopped for about 3 to 4 seconds and it was going up and down in that time.

 

Also, the problem fixed itself this morning.....
