Android Auto WiFi (new Kodiaq)

Featured Replies

Hi folks.

Have a '22 Kodiaq SE with standard radio. Android Auto works fine on cable, all so set up. As is Skoda Connect.

Android Auto on my mobile (appears to be Android 10) does say AA Wireless is available with the car but I cannot connect.

I've read that 5Ghz WiFi is needed, but the Skoda only seems to use 2.4Ghz (checked with WiFi tools). Should 5Ghz be present in a Kodiaq built in March 22?

I've read other posts here, which are a bit old and don't seem related, so would appreciate any pointers.

Thanks

Brochure implies Android is wired only.

Hi,

Sorry thought I'd replied.

The online manual for my car suggests wireless should work, but needs Android 11 (I have 10 - so this may be the issue until I can test with a newer phone).
