Hi temp, water pump potential issues

Had the dreaded high temperature warning when engine under load. I'm assuming that it's the water pump issue that plagues Skodas?

It's a 1.6d Karoq, 19 plate and just out of warranty. 

Anybody know how much this is to replace and if Skoda are open to any flexibility since its just 3mths out of warranty?
