When I open the car with the drivers door, the door marker light flashes and there is a clicking noise that accompanies it. Also the passenger door sometimes will not open at the same time if the wife is getting in.

 

Thoughts please?

Odds are broken wire in the rubber grommet/tube between door and frame of car body.

 

Central locking is going mad, and the light is going on/off.

 

Check that area first.

and also watch the door open icons on the dashboard through the window as you open and close the doors. Any delay or intermittent behavior is a sign of a broken wire or failing microswitch in the door.
