Blinkers As headlights

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

So my car (Mk 1 Fabia) got itself a Littke adventure, the E brake cable snapped and ran into a line of grape vines, trahsing the front completely. Now its been rebuilt. But. New aftermarket headlights are installed. Everything worked fine until a terrential downpour, and now when he is in the mood, the blinker on the right is constantly on, when I turn on the headlights, and when I use the turn signal, it cliks fast, but blinking speed is nominal.

Any ideas what could it be? Bad fuse, or water got into the play?

Thanks for the ideas.

I’ve moved this to the fabia section as it will probably get more attention.

My first port of call would be checking all the connectors and wiring behind the lights as it sounds like a short and water can certainly cause that.

When you say aftermarket I’m assuming you mean OEM rather that completely non standard.

If it was an insurance claim is go back and get them to fix it. If you paid a body shop yourself then I’d go back there and get them to find and fix it.

Sure about this? The OP is Hungarian and they may have different consumer protection laws to us.

This makes me think you have a bad earth on the new RH headlight and/or indicator.
