My SDI is unstable at any rpm

Featured Replies

Good moorning!

Yesterday I had a coolant leak at the temperature sensor, i replaced the o-ring seal and problem fixed, then i drive 150 km and fine. But today when i started the engine, he usually tend to shake the first two seconds then it stabilizes, but this time it keeps shaking, and it does it at any rpm range, and it does it when acceleraring thus irregular aceleration.

I am little confuse about it, is it the black plastic piece with three ports or the one that looks like a gas regulator?

When my Roomster started running rough i disconnected the rubber hose and with a torch and a mirror i could see it was all full of tar. Took it off, cleaned it out and everything was fine after that. Might be worth waiting for someone with a bit more knowledge to come along and give you a second opinion

It worked for me, and also a friend of mine who spent £1000 on replacing sensors and all sorts on a V W T5 only to find out it was a clogged EGR valve. If it dont cure your problem it will still need cleaning out eventually anyway
