Delete Service Message

Featured Replies

This week started getting message that service is due on 10 Jan 2023. Last service was in Jan 2022, so year is up. However last service, mileage was 26170, and mileage now is 28095, so only done 1825 miles. I don't intend to get it done then, but wait until MOT due in June. So, can anyone tell me how to get rid of the service message. I have an OBDeleven, but can't see a way to do it with that. TIA.

What was last year's service?

Did they use Long Life oil, and then clearly set you to 1yr fixed?

You may want to did out last year's receipt and check, also not sure if you want to just skip the message/service if you wish to sell the car, someone will pickup the gap.

No idea what oil was used. The service was done by the dealer I purchased the car from. They also did the MOT for me in June @ 26237 miles so it had only done 67 miles between service and MOT. I have done the rest.  So as stated, not soingh it now but sill do at MOT date in June. Just wasnt to stop the message appearing.

Well I cannot state how to do it exactly on the tool you have, but usually you will need to enter the dashboard and adjust time/mileage to next service.

You may also need to reset it, if it was set to 1year fixed, but try to adjust the time value first.

Example if you have 27 days left to the service, then try to add 365 to that, if that value is not accepted, add 180 days to it.

Unfortunately, it won’t make the warning message off. You need to reset the warning message too.

It’s not easy to do it.
17-Instruments > 10-Adaptation

Then look for the « warning » line in the whole bunch of possibilities from the rolling menu.

Already posted about the possibility of having to reset, just not the instructions (which will help others)
