Back. After a long time away

Featured Replies

Hi folks.

Been a long time since I posted here.

Last time round I was looking at a Mk1 VRs. This time I am looking at a 2016 petrol Octavia VRs estate.

This will be to replace my 2008 Saab 93 TTid Aero estate.

I love my Saab's, but they are getting long in the tooth now with very old tech.

So basically back to do some research on common problems etc.

I had 4 cars in my list.

Passat R-line

Focus ST-3

Jag XF R-sport

And the VRs.

My mechanic pals all say the VRs is the better car out of the choices.

Brilliant welcome back.
a month and no one says hi 😂😂

Think this is relatively dead. How long you been away? I was the same. Fabia mk1 vrs from 2009 to 2016, then off-brand until the Superb. The brand’s come leaps and bounds in that time for sure

Last post was in 2006 for me😂

Yeah I have a couple of friends with The Octy VRs 2012 models.

I’ll be starting my hunt for one soon. Lowish mileage, about 2014 year petrol manual.

Nice - should be pretty engaging and worthy of a bit of tuning
