Anyone know the make/model of the standard one in the boot and which removal key gets it out?

Took a punt on the Euro (Audi) keys out of Halfords.

They did the trick.

Good luck getting it out. I've had no luck despite using several keys. It's a panasonic unit I believe. Why are you removing it anyway

Comes out fine with the audi keys, just have to insert them at 45 degs with the slant facing the middle of the box. Once they hook round the spring, press them in and the unit slides out.

Am going to try to slot in the VW ipod dock above the CD changer and put the cable that is going into the CD changer into the back of that instead. No idea if it will work, we will see when the parts arrive:
