Looking for V68 motor part number

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

Recently my Rapid decided to stop blowing air entirely and, after fiddling around the glove box, I found the following motor to be broken beyond easy repair: the rod connecting the final cog wheel (white one) is broken. Trying to fix it with some glue wouldn't last too much and finding that separate cog wheel would probably take more time than it is worth.

Since I couldn't find an answer here or someplace else, I am reaching out to you kindly asking for a part number for this damn assembly.

Thank you!

PS: I'll be buying it in Germany.

I forgot to mention that the car (Rapid Spaceback 05/2014) is equipped with automatic climate control.

Looks like 6R1 907 511, I will check that and post back (look at your 2nd image, rotate it so you can read)

6R1 907 511 - Check this looks right, and matches the writing on yours

Yeah, that looks identical to what I have. Thank you for the prompt reply!

It's funny that the part number is written on a part that seems removable. I didn't even look there. But probably they chose to write it there because that seems to be the sole difference between this and 6R1907511A or 6Q0907511.

Problem is that, from what I can find, 6R1 907 511 is nowhere to be found. And from what the similarly looking parts show, I could be easily end up paying somewhere between 120 and 180 €. Crazy!

Thank you again for your help!

You're welcome, I suspect the part is shared out amongst the VAG group, as the part listed above is classed as v2xx (can't recall exact designation)

V68 comes back as another part number for your car, but most likely = same as above, just different code.  Normal behaviour for the VAG parts "bin" as I call the sharing process.

  • 2 months later...

So I changed this about a month (I had to wait for the temperatures in my garage to be comfortable enough), but the problem doesn't seem to be fully solved. I just want to report back about my experience, in case it might help someone else.

Sometimes the recirculation flaps would work. Sometimes they will close (both) after the engine running for 10 minutes. I usually only noticed that they are closed because it gets cold/warm in the car (depending on the outside temperature). At this point, restarting the engine (or sometimes triggering a recalibration, but not always) solves the issue until the next day.

Thanks for all your help!
