Towbar issue when glovebox is opened!

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

strange one here and any help is appreciated.

I have a 2013 octavia estate without towing prep, just got back from have a third party towbar fitted by a local company.

All appeared ok and lights worked as expected.

However, when I open the glovebox I get a warning that a door is open, the outline of the car displays between the dials but ordinarily not showing what door is open, there is the briefest of flashed is white indicating the boot being open.

I have contacted the company to at fitted and heading back after the weekend, I’m not filled with confidence for a solution from them after my initial contact.
Any bright ideas?!

They broke it; if they can't fix it then they pay someone else to do so. It's the law.
