Unconfirmed, but it looks like I’ve arrived at that point in time where the siren starts causing issues.

 

over the years it appears that units (even the ali express cheapies) have become a lot pricier to buy new. 

 

having read through a load of the existing material on here…I was hoping someone might have:

 

a) up to date links to the best deal on a new siren unit

 

b) confirmation on the current VAG part number for the siren unit

The latest alarm used on facelift Octavias is the H12. Previous models had the H09. There is a fix-it guide with part numbers for both models in the pinned thread above these active threads. 

Cost from Skoda is around £205 plus £60 if you ask them to fit it. Although I have seen some new H12 alarm units alone on the net at around £250. Beware of the £40 used alarms.
