Superb iV Front 360 camera not working

Featured Replies

My front 360 camera has stopped working.

I have checked the connections and they seem OK.

I have reset the infotainment system and nothing has changed.

Anything else I should check before I change the camera?

If I need a new Camera, where can I find the part number?

Don’t just replace the camera, there are many things that can cause it.

What we’re you doing when it stopped working?

Have you checked for fault codes?

Checked any wiring or pins?

Re-fixing the parking sensors inthe front bumper.

My scanner is out on loan, but do I need a VAG specific scanner for the car?

I will need to drop the bumper off again to check the wiring continuity. The pins looked ok to me.

I finally bought myself a VCDS.

Attached are the codes. @ApertureS is it suggesting it is a wiring problem, or the camera is dead?

Many thanks in advance for the help.

That to me indicates either a damaged wire or unplugged connector.

or the camera has completely failed.

first thing I’d be doing is checking the connectors are all in:

back of the camera in front grill

left side chassis leg connector

left side lower a pillar in car

control unit under right seat

if all of these are okay then next would be continuity tests for the wiring, which need very small pins and go as follows

pin 1 to pin 4

pin 4 to pin 1

pin 2 to pin 3

pin 3 to pin 2

and these are pin outs at the camera connector and at the control unit connector.

Left side chassis leg connector was loose.

Many thanks.

Me too. Finding time to tackle it was the biggest issue, but I managed it without taking the bumper off.

I was feeling a bit tough last time I did it, and there was a chance that I did not properly connect the connector.

When I dropped the left hand wheel arch, I could get my hand In enough to check the connector.
