Does octavia 3 vrs 245hp have opf?

Featured Replies

Hello, i want to buy a skoda octavia vrs 17-18, but i mind about opf, does it have? The model that i want to buy is rs challange plus, 06/2018. Does it have opf? or only late 11/2018 to 19 have opf.

I believe the GPF was introduced with the MY19 changes. That means that cars build after around May/June 2019 will likely have a GPF.

I have a MY18 vRS 245 and that does not have a GPF :)

The best way to check would be to get the build data for the cars VIN as that'll confirm exactly what is fitted, a car with a GPF should have:

- PR-code 1E2 Gasoline particulate filter (GPF)

That being said, I don't think I've heard any issues with GPF's on these cars so I wouldn't worry too much.

MY19 are built from after the summer holiday factory break in 2018 are they not.  So June / July 2018 and on. Were the GPF,s not fitted in time for the WLTP certification coming in and delays on deliveries because of not Certificated early as other manufacturers had done?

Correct - my mistake :)

Looks like there were delays back around Sept 2018 likely due to the WLTP changes:

So gpf got on cars in 2019? vrs 245 2018 does nt got gpf, right?

Early build 2018 might not have a GPF but really i do not know.

Build date might matter more than First Registration date.   Hopefully others here with the cars know.

Thank you for the help! But how @langers2k said, maybe if i check the car with carvertical or any app for car history and info, maybe i can see there the gpf being an option or some sort?

@VladosWhat is your issue regarding a DPF, is it because you want to remap etc, or the life of a GPF and replacement cost?

Yep, i want to hardly modify it, and with opf it s kinda bad, and i would nt like to do a opf delete because it s harder to code the ecu, and flow and exhausts are not as good with opf, and my country is strict with modified cars, i really need a non opf car.

@Vladoswhen asking about GPF / OPF then 'your country' is relevant, so are you in the EU / Europe & not Australia or someplace around the world where the year can make a difference if there is a GPF fitted.

Mine was a June 2018 delivery date and has no GPF.

From memory shipping was about 1.5 months in 2018, so probably built April 2018, but might have been earlier if came from stock.   Plenty of cars were built back in 2018 that were not specific orders, even an factory order because wanted certain options were generally under 3 months.

I think they were introduced around late May or June, before the annual factory shutdown, as didn't want lots of unsold cars when WTLP rules came in.   The exact date might have varied by engine size.
