2020 Octavia SE Technology

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anyone know if a 2020 Octavia SE Technology should come with SmartLink as standard?

I've just bought one thinking it did from reviews but when I click SmartLink it directs me to the shop where the option isn't available.

Thanks

I’d be very surprised if it didn’t have Smartlink. The loan SE First Edition I had a while back had it, and the brochure I have (dated 12/20) states that the SE & SE FE includes it.

At the time the SE Technology had a separate brochure.

Thanks.

The built in Navigation does the same thing.

I went to my local dealer and they said there wasn't an activation key available for SmartLink or Navigation for my car. They couldn't tell me if that was because it should already have it or if those features just aren't supported. They didn't seem very interested to be honest.

Every listing I can find for MK4 SE Technology's lists Navigation and SmartLink as standard.

I'm wondering if the previous owner did some kind of factory reset that removed those features?

That's strange. I would have thought it should have been possible to activate it in all cars. How much does activation cost these says? I bet they charge a fortune just for an activation code.

I contacted Skoda directly. They have confirmed that my car should have Navigation and Android Auto as standard. They recommend taking it to a dealer for investigation and SW update.

The car is under warranty from where I bought it from. They have booked it into an Arnold Clark Reanult garage (in 4 weeks time!).

Will a non-Skoda franchise have access to Skoda SW updates?
