Right Xenon Light Beam Up

Featured Replies

I got my 2.0 TDI Octavia II just few weeks ago with xenon lights on. I have noticed that right light beam is “throwing” light much higher then the left one. It doesn’t bother me since it gives more light outside the road and reaching much further so I did not complain yet. The left light beam goes lower so it doesn’t disturb drivers from the opposite lane since I’m driving on continental European roads. :o Maybe that is the way to fit it in the first place? Did anyone of you noticed something similar with your xenon lights?

Thanks!

My left and right xenon lights are generally at the same level, however I think the left hand side is marginally higher as that lamp throws the light onto the verge/pavement, obviously the oncoming traffic in the UK is on the drivers right so it's all reversed for you.

When I get a chance I'll get a pic of my beam pattern at night so you can compare it.

You never know, yours might be right and mine might be wrong! :D

Heres the beam pattern as promised.

Obviously yours will be a left-right mirror of this.

Thank you guys for clarifying my concern with Xenon lights beams! Your picture is showing exactly the same (off course in the mirror for car driving on continental European roads) illumination like on my own car.

Thank you again, you saved my time for going to car service to check that out. :D

No problem, glad to be of assistance. Hope you are enjoying your car as much as I am mine.
