Been thinking about what is out there at the moment.

1. Would it be better to go for a Milltek exhaust and K&N/Pipercross filter. How many horses would I gain?

2. Should I go for a remap but keep the rest as Skoda intended?

3. I understand that the best would be a combination of both but then do I face the same problems as others on this forum and start to highlight weaknesses elsewhere? e.g. engine mounts, etc.

Plus there is also the dreaded warranty dilemma.

Hopefully 1. wouldn't cause as many problems as 2. or 3. infact I would hope that 1. wouldn't cause any problems but you never know.

I shall ruminate for the time being but just thought I would seek some advice.

Remap without a doubt will give you most bang for you buck and considering that at least one dealer is offering cars with a remap you should be fine, just keep it to yourself.

I have been researching the new Milltek 'zaust which is still in the throws of development but looks and sounds very good. As for changing the filter you won't notice a great deal of difference although the engine note does improve a little, more 'gruff' sounding also a pretty cheap mod at around £50.
