Driver Assist menu/ Park Assist missing

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I've recently bought a used Octavia III Ambition (2018 - 1,6 TDI) and I noticed that there is no "Driver Assist" menu  under Car/ Setup on my Amundsen screen. I just want to enable the "Parktronic" feature (is it called like that?), because when I reverse, I can hear the beeping sound as expected, but I cannot see anything on the screen (the visual distance representation thing). There's no camera installed of course, but there are sensors properly working since I can hear the beeping sounds.

Is this a matter of coding maybe? Do I just need to enable the feature? (I'm about to buy a Konnwei KW903 or a VGate iCar2 so as to keep an eye on the DPF condition - would I be able to code with any of these adapters?)

Thank you!

Are you sure the sensors are original and not an aftermarket kit fitted by the previous owner?

We don't have the Ambition in the UK but for example, I believe the base spec 'S' model did not have parking sensors as standard.
